Hello builders,

We haven’t mentioned this yet, but summer may have inspired us a little too much… The sun, the sea, the islands… and the urge to go build somewhere else.

The Fish and Ships DLC is now available in Memoriapolis!

  • The DLC adds a new map inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, fishing as a new source of food, and 30 new events, celebrations, and incidents

  • A free update also accompanies this release, bringing several changes and improvements for all players.

A discount on the base game is available until October 21, 2026.

A free update for all players

While working on the DLC, we realized this was also the right time to revisit some of the game’s systems.

We wanted food to play a more interesting role throughout a playthrough, and for certain buildings to be more useful.

  • Food system overhaul

Food will now work differently.

Migration in your city will depend on your production rather than the amount of food stored. Reserves will still be important, but they’ll mainly help you get through difficult periods before a real famine sets in.

The idea is to make the system feel more natural and encourage you to maintain steady production rather than simply stockpiling food.

  • Changes to the religious service

We’ve also reworked how the religious service works.

You can now use food to increase your city’s Worship level and gradually unlock different bonuses.

  • Also included in the free update

    • A new Guard Post, which replaces the Surveyor’s Cabin after the Renaissance.

    • An overhaul of how farms and orchards work.

    • Several interface, balance, and quality-of-life improvements.

  • Sandbox Mode

We also took this update as an opportunity to rework Sandbox Mode, based in part on your feedback.

If you want to build a city just for fun, test things out, or simply play without putting too much pressure on yourself, Sandbox Mode is there for you.

Fish and Ships DLC

With Fish and Ships, we wanted to offer you a map that feels different from the environments you already know in Memoriapolis, inspired by Mediterranean landscapes and shaped by the presence of water.

And above all, we’re especially excited to finally be able to add fishing as a new source of food.

  • A new map inspired by the Mediterranean

Discover a new Mediterranean archipelago, featuring vast expanses of land, lush islands, and turquoise waters.

A new environment to explore and shape as your city grows.

  • Fishing

Fishing becomes a new source of food.

Build Fishing Huts along the water’s edge to harvest the schools of fish found across the map. The schools regenerate over time.

We’re really excited to finally be able to offer you this new way to produce food in Memoriapolis.

  • 30 new events

Fish and Ships also adds 30 new events, including new celebrations and incidents. Among them:

  • Exceptional Harvests: Available starting in Antiquity, these allow you to receive a percentage of your city’s current production.

  • Inventors’ Visits: Available starting in the Age of Enlightenment, these allow you to complete a random building or reduce the construction time for a Monument or Wonder.

  • Bandit Attack: Starting in the Renaissance.

  • Strike: Starting in the Industrial Revolution.

And that’s it for Fish and Ships!

We wanted to keep this one under wraps until its release, and we’re very happy to finally be able to share it with you.

We hope you enjoy this new map and that fishing finds a little place in your next cities.
